Bond Registration
When a buyer finances through a home loan, the bond must be registered at the Deeds Office simultaneously with the transfer. A bond attorney (often appointed by the bank) prepares and lodges the bond documents.
What to expect
- Bank issues a grant and instructs the bond attorney
- Buyer signs bond documents and completes FICA
- Bond and transfer lodge together so ownership and security register on the same day
- Buyer pays bond registration fees and related costs
Pre-qualify before you hunt so OTP timelines are realistic. See bond approval guide and find bond originators in the Midlands directory.
